What I’m about.

This is my motivation.

I’m a 20 21 22 23 24 25 26-year-old photojournalism graduate from the University of Kentucky who used to work for newspapers. In 201o I worked for the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch and in Feb., 2011 I joined the staff of the twice-weekly Cody (Wyo.) Enterprise as their sole photographer. On Dec., 31, 2011, after dealing with the frustrations of small-town politics and seeing how they can affect a newspaper’s ethics, I quit to become an EMT.  My personal website can be seen by visiting www.ecmatthewsphotography.com, but it isn’t updated nearly as often as this blog (not that this blog ever gets updated anymore).

In my spare time I enjoy bicycle mechanics, shooting pictures, shooting guns, Eastern mysticism, climbing rocks, abandoned buildings, being outside, self-reliance and the internet.

You know, after this semester and my experience with the leaders upstairs, I can’t say I agree with you anymore. I think people care, we just can’t get the funding.

Thank you for the beautiful picture of my grandson’s jersey. I know that sounds strange, but until you loss someone, you don’t see the beauty in the simple things, a shirt on a hanger, that will never be worn again . . . Thank you.

Awesome photography and some wonderful stories. I happened to chance upon your blog after accidentally typing “tiren” instead of “ziren” into the wordpress website. I love photography too, and if you’d like, here’s my photoblog 🙂 http://zirenphoto.aminus3.com Cheers from Singapore!
