Not too happy with my first assignment, mainly because the “guy sitting in chairs with more chairs behind him” portrait is lame. But I did learn that you can get 50 minutes out of a parking meter (even if it only says 15 when you leave it) if you park on the right street. And at least I lit it.

I was shadowing one of the other photographers on my second day while he shot an assignment about run-down houses in the Columbus area and how some areas remain rough, despite the mayor’s efforts to clean them up.

He told me this was the best photo of a code violation he’d ever seen. Whether or not he was lying, it made me feel pretty good.
