World AIDS Day

In November of 2007 I, along with writer and reporter Sean Rose, worked on a story for World AIDS Day (Dec. 3) about how younger generations don’t see AIDS as a threat because of advancements in medicine.

The story followed Moveable Feast, a non-profit organization that feeds AIDS and hospice patents who are either too sick to cook or do not have enough money to provide for themselves. The kitchen works closely with medical advisers to ensure that the food that is prepared has adequate nutritional value and will not cause the customers to become ill.

Sean and I also spent time with Bill Fuller, a Lexington resident who was diagnosed with HIV in 1986 and is a customer of Moveable Feast.
